The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to design and implement culturally grounded, and scalable health and behavioral health interventions for Native American communities statewide. This non-recurring funding opportunity is intended to pilot, strengthen, or expand initiatives that address critical service gaps, reduce health inequities, and improve access to culturally appropriate care for Nations, Pueblos and Tribes in New Mexico.

IHS Loan Repayment Program

The IHS Loan Repayment Program (LRP) can help dedicated health professionals chart a course for a long-lasting and successful health care career. The LRP funds IHS clinicians to repay their eligible health profession education loans — up to $50,000 — in exchange for an initial two-year service commitment to practice in health facilities serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration is accepting applications for the Tribal High Priority Projects Program (Tribal HPP Program)

The program, funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, will provide nearly $9 million in Fiscal Year 2026 to (1) an Indian Tribe or governmental subdivision of an Indian Tribe whose annual allocation of funding under the Tribal Transportation Program (TTP) is insufficient to complete the highest priority project of the Tribe, or (2) to any Indian Tribe that has an emergency or disaster occur on a Tribal transportation facility that renders the facility impassible or unusable. 

Applications must be submitted to your BIA Point of Contact or FHWA Tribal Coordinator by 11:59 P.M. (local time for applicant) on January 31, 2026.

The Office of Broadband Access and Expansion (OBAE) announced $1.9 million in funding available for immediate use.

Grant Writing, Engineering and Planning Program (GWEP) funds must be expended by June 2026. OBAE strongly encourages eligible entities to apply now to secure these vital resources for broadband infrastructure development.
